Westcerts trainers haved developed and compiled security training courses to be fully compatable with any career you choose. We have specialised equipment including two-way radios, first aid manikins, a fully set-up training scenario room and even a full size scanner for airport and maritime security.
Westcert currently have courses available for Certificate II in Security Operations. This is a 10 day course to obtain your security licence allowing you to work as a security officer.
If you want to work as a crowd controller or where alcohol is served, this includes mine-sites, then you will be required to complete a further 4 days traing to comply with the new WA Police Licencing regulations.
First aid is included in this course or may be completed as a seperate component. It is not only for persons wanting to get into the security industry but may be required in any workplace.
Our Construction White Card is a legislative requirement to work on any mine-site or any construction site. Westcerts short course will give you the information and knowlege to keep you safe and allow you to work within your chosen industry.
All of Westcerts courses are designed with a mixture of practical and theory components. Courses are hands on, allowing students to demonstrate their knowlege through role plays and scenarios, giving a more realistic approach to the duties of a security officer.
Students who can demonstate prior knowlege and competency may be elligable for Recognition of Prior Learning which may reduce the length of your course.
We are currently working on new course material for Certificate III in Security Operations to be compliant with the new WA Police licencing regulations.
All trainers and security courses offered by Westcert Training Academy have been approved by WA Police Commercial Agents and TAC (Training Acreditation Council) and comply with all requirements for acreditation.
