Best Australian Coupe. The car is, I believe, a prototype car and 1 of a batch of 131 similar cars built in 1968 before production went full time. It has the Saginaw floor hump. Colour is Devil Yellow by Glasurit and it has been sliced and 2 coats of self healing clear has been applied to the final finish. Self healing clear is what it is. The engine bay and complete underbody is also painted in Yellow with some black and red items underneath. The twin headlight front was not a cut and shut to fit but a complete brand new Premier front chassis rails, skirts and radiator panel assy. The engine bay has had over 200 hours spent removing all holes and factory indentations and the firewall has been shaved as well. All engine bay wiring and fuel lines, hoses, coil, battery, windscreen washer bottle etc have been hidden or removed to different hidden locations. Engine is also painted yellow. The heavy duty radiator has a aluminium shroud cover as does the fan belt. It has no fan blade but 2 Thermo fans hidden out the front. The engine is a 1992 Chevrolet Chevelle 305 ci and is Fuel Injected. The engine is extremely strong. It runs a Turbo 700 5 speed auto that has been completely rebuilt and capable of 800 HP. The diff is a Salisbury 10 bolt that has been overhauled. Rear axles have been machined to accept late model Holden wheels. The front stub axles, rotors and calipers are all from HQ. The interior has been completely retrimmed in Charcoal and yellow. It has a felt fabric charcoal hood lining and the trim colour blends in with the seat down to the carpets. All trim material is aircraft quality 4 hour burn The dash has been changed to a HG style dash assy, much nicer than the HK dash assy and is fitted with a CD/FM player with 6 speakers. The heater is under slung under the dash and is an old Smiths Air Conditioner assy with the TX valve removed to allow free flow of the hot water, work too well. All suspension has been rebuilt with new ball joints, control arm bushes, all in neoprene, rear spring bushes etc. all brakes have had new linings and been machined etc. Front shocks are new as are the rear and at the rear I have air override adjustable shocks. The body has been fitted with a complete rubber kit and all bumpers etc have been rechromed. There is nothing left to do to this car except to kick back and enjoy the attention the car creates whenever it is driven. All the usual security stuff will be enforced with this sale.
