We are an experienced Host Family and have welcomed 8 students from The Phillipines, China, Thailand and Kenya over 3 years, including a 1 year old baby and 11 year old boy.
The room is only available to female guests. Whether you are a student, backpacker, traveller or relocating to Perth you will enjoy the accommodation and hospitality of our HomeStay.
Our family is made up by myself - a mature single Mum and my 3 young daughters who love to interact with our guests, helping them with their English and learning their language and culture too. My interests including gardening, cooking and home decorating.
You will receive breakfast and a nice cooked evening family meal - curry, stirfry, roast, pasta, shepherds pie etc. The room is fully furnished and quiet and private. The private bathroom and toilet is for guests only. I will do your laundry and there are no bills to pay.
The house is in a good neighbourhood, off the main road but within a 1 minute walk to the bus stop for a 7 minute ride to Joondalup Bus, Train and Shopping Centre, next to ECU Joondalup and West Coast Institure of Training. Car rental is available in Joondalup and I have undercover secure parking for your car.
The house is only 5 years old, well maintained and decorated in a country style with open fire and comfortable furnishings surrounded by established flower gardens. Our gardens back on to the bush and the air is filled with bird song from lorikeets, parrots and galahs.
You are welcome to snuggle up with a book from our home library next to the open fire, catch a movie on Cable, play on the piano, stroll through the gardens or just relax in your room undisturbed.
Stroll to the local markets or have a coffee at our village shopping centre. There is mini golf to play at Botanic Gardens or hire a bicycle and explore the extensive tracks around the lake.
Collection from the airport is available for $50 (taxi charges $85) or from Joondalup train station for $15.
We welcome visitors from all over the world regardless of religion or race so come and join our friendly family for a night or a fortnight - no minimum or maximum stay.
